Announcement from the Recovery Academy
Dear Recovery Academy Student,
We hope that as you read this message, you and your loved ones are safe and well. Many of you have been in touch recently to tell us you missed the Recovery Academy during the Spring/Summer term due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but were excited to see us again for the Autumn/Winter term.
The team have worked so hard to produce the new prospectus and we were all set to launch it and our new Learner Management System on the 1st October.
Sadly, this will now be postponed again. You will know that infection rates are rising and the Prime Ministers address to the nation means further restrictions. We are highly unlikely to run the Recovery Academy prospectus as normal until at least April 2021 and we will keep you updated via this webpage and social media.
With regards to the new Learner Management System, because we were planning to re-open on the 1st October we had focussed our efforts on getting courses, dates and venues on to this system and to make it a useful resource for all of you to be able to plan and monitor your learning journey with us to support your recovery and any education/training/employment goals you may have.
However, because we also used the Spring/Summer term to develop new self-help materials, e-learning packages, and webinars, our focus now will be to work with the suppliers of the new system to allow you to register with us once again and access these resources instead. It may take us a few weeks so please bear with us. Keep checking this site for more information.
We appreciate this will be of little comfort to people we may know who are not computer literate or do not have access to a computer. Please encourage people to get in touch via telephone if this is the case and we will post materials out to people. Our telephone number is 0161 358 1771.
