ACT for older people with treatment-resistant Generalised Anxiety Disorder (CONTACT-GAD)
Overview
Are you interested in taking part in a research study that aims to reduce anxiety in older people with chronic worry?
The purpose of this trial is to see if a new form of talking therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy plus usual care can reduce anxiety in older people with chronic worry that has not improved after previous treatment compared to usual care alone.

Behavioural Activation for young people with depression in specialist CAMHS (BAY)
Overview
We want to find out if behavioural activation (BA) works for young people with low mood. There are a lot of keen therapists in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) who would like to give better help to young people but need more training. We would like to give these therapists training in our BA. We also want to find out if our BA is good value for money, how easy it is to use for young people, carers and clinicians, and if it can reduce long waits for other therapy.

Overview
RAPID is a study using online and phone-based psychological support to help prevent psychiatric hospital admissions for those with suicidal thoughts. The RAPID trial aims to compare two remote interventions with the standard care people usually receive to find out how best to help those who experience suicidal thoughts, and if this can reduce admissions to hospital.

TherapyMatch-D
Overview
We want to explore if matching certain subgroups of people with depression to a particular therapy would help patients. In this pilot randomized controlled trial, we will randomly assign some Talking Therapies sites to an experimental group, and others to a control group. The TherapyMatch-D computer programme will give a personalised treatment recommendation to some patients in the experimental group.

The CELIA clinical trial is researching a potential treatment for people with mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease or mild Alzheimer’s disease dementia by focusing on a protein called tau. Abnormal tangles of built-up tau protein can be considered a key sign of the disease. The All-in-One Study
Overview
This research study tests how to use brain scans and blood tests together to diagnose the underlying causes of memory problems more accurately, and at an earlier stage than is currently possible. Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD)
Overview
The Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) Study is a project set up to support studies exploring risk factors for depression and/or anxiety. Our aim is to collect the psychological, medical, and genetic information of 40,000 people with experience of anxiety and depression.
We also want to recruit 10,000 individuals without any history of mental disorder to help us explore why some people do and some people don’t become ill. This will help us to better understand the role both our genes and environment play in the development of these illnesses.

Prevalence of pathogenetic antibodies in psychosis (PPiP2)
Overview
There is some evidence that some cases of psychosis may be caused by a specific problem with the immune system. The immune system normally controls our ability to fight infection. If the immune system goes wrong it may cause condition called ‘autoimmune’ diseases. We can diagnose some of these diseases using blood tests.
This study aims to see how many people with psychosis may have this specific problem with their immune system. We can find out that by testing your blood sample for specific antibodies.

A 3-arm multi-centre randomised placebo-controlled trial of glycopyrrolate or hyoscine hydrobromide for the treatment of clozapine-induced hypersalivation (GOTHIC2)
Overview
Like all medicines clozapine can cause side-effects and the side-effect we are interested in is where patients produce too much saliva (spit). People who take clozapine tell us that this is one of the most upsetting side effects of clozapine. This study will find out if either hyoscine (Kwells) or glycopyrronium bromide (glycopyrrolate) can improve CIH/drooling by comparing patients taking these medications with patients taking a dummy treatment (placebo).
