Manchester Talking Therapies is part of the national Talking Therapies programme.
The service is for people with common mental health disorders such as anxiety or depression who are motivated to work towards changing the problem.
We offer free psychological treatment as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. This is mainly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Counselling. We can help you learn ways to help yourself so that you feel more able to cope with your problems.
Our team of therapists and counsellors are based in centres throughout North, Central and South Manchester. Once assessed, you can choose how you would like to have your therapy delivered, we can see you face to face, or remotely via video or telephone appointments.
We also offer Compassion Focused Therapy workshops for pregnant individuals and new parents.
Manchester Talking Therapies is a step 3 service. We work with people who are stepped up from the step 2 service in Manchester, which is delivered by a third sector organisation called Self Help Services.
