Our Strategy

We are delighted to introduce Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH)’s Strategy, which outlines our vision and strategic priorities for the next three years.

This strategy has been developed in partnership with our dedicated colleagues, the people who use our services, carers, individuals with lived experience and our valued partner organisations across all sectors. Together, we’ve shaped a vision that is aligned with the needs of our communities and supported by those who share our goals.

To deliver our vision of “Great places for care and great places to work” we will deliver the following strategic priorities:



Deliver Care that Matters We are committed to changing the way we deliver our services, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time and in the right place, embracing a ‘community-first’ approach. Our goal is to deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based care that truly makes a difference.	Working Together We will strengthen our focus on collaboration and how we work together with our service users, their carers, the wider community and others to help meet people’s diverse and often complex needs. Collaboration with service users, carers, and partner organisations is essential to our success.	Being Fit for the Future We will make the best use of all our resources to support safe, effective and sustainable care. Our focus will be on providing safe care and our governance which will enable us to assure ourselves, our service users and others that we are effectively delivering this.
