OpenAthens Journals and Databases
NHS Knowledge and Library Hub
Visit the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub to access electronic books and journals, use our point of care tool BMJ Best Practice and carry out a search of healthcare databases.
Databases available with your NHS OpenAthens account include; MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, PsycINFO, HMIC, EMCARE and Social Policy & Practice.
If you require support searching the databases please contact library@gmmh.nhs.uk.
To search for a specific journal title on the Hub, Click on Essential Links at the top of the page and then Browse Journals on the drop down menu.

Register for an NHS OpenAthens Account
Athens gives you access to all electronic resources purchased nationally and locally by the NHS and the Library and Knowledge Service at Greater Manchester Mental Health.
Register for OpenAthens
Register for an account on the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub using the OpenAthens Registration link listed under Essential Links at the top of the page. Complete the form using your Trust name and e-mail address and submit.
An automated e-mail will appear in your inbox with a link for creating your password. Once created your account will be active and ready to use.
