Reasonable Adjustments

We want everyone who applies for a career in Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust to feel welcomed, supported and able to perform their best. To make sure our recruitment process is fair and inclusive, we can provide reasonable adjustments for candidates who need them.

What are reasonable adjustments?

Reasonable adjustments are changes we can make in the recruitment process to remove barriers for people with disabilities, long-term health conditions or neurodiverse needs. They ensure that every candidate has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Examples of reasonable adjustments

Depending on your needs, we may be able to provide:

  • Extra time for assessments or written tasks
  • Application materials in alternative formats
  • Interview questions in advance
  • A British Sign Language interpreter or speech to text support
  • Step free access and accessible interview spaces
  • Quiet spaces before and after your interview
  • A virtual interview
