Wes Brown, former MUFC defender, surprises doctor at Anson Road as part of competition prize

Samuel Young a doctor at Anson Road – one of GMMH’s community rehabilitation units – has won Manchester United’s ‘Frontline Heroes’ competition.

Samuel was surprised at his place of work with a with a visit from former MUFC defender and football legend, Wes Brown, to deliver the good news as well as a few prizes.

MUFC Filming Visit

UK MUFC and TeamViewer fans were asked to nominate their Frontline Heroes for the opportunity to win a VIP experience around the Arsenal game on 2 December.

As part of this process Samuel was nominated by his grandmother Vivienne, for his work in the NHS during the pandemic and at Anson Road.

United's 'Frontline Heroes' campaign is designed to recognise those who have gone above and beyond in their particular role to help those affected by Covid-19 and the lockdown.

Vivian felt that Samuel deserved recognition for the contribution he’s been making and his dedication to helping others.

From a wide-range of submissions, Samuel was selected as one of three lucky winners of MUFC and their principal partner TeamViewer’s Frontline Heroes competition to celebrate and salute key workers.

MUFC Visit

Samuel has won two tickets with all travel and expenses paid for to watch the team he loves play at Old Trafford against Arsenal on Thursday 2 December.
