North West Regional Secure Services Carers Conference | News and Events

The Conference has been arranged in response to feedback from Families, Friends and Carers at previous regional events and will provide an opportunity to ask questions of and hear from a panel of experts, from local government, third sector and statutory mental health services and other professional organisations, who are leaders in their respective fields and are key to shaping the future of mental health services

Do you have any questions that you would like to ask the panel from drawing on your experiences of mental health provision during your loved one’s journey into mental health secure services, including - contact with local mental health in patient and community services, secure services, primary and acute health care services, such as, GP’s and accident and emergency and public services such as the police service and social services?

We ask that questions are generic, relating to your experiences and not personalised to an individual.

Getting to The Curve:

By Car:
The Curve is situated on the Prestwich Hospital site just off the M60 At junction 17. At junction 17 take the A56 exit to Manchester city centre/Prestwich/\Whitefield. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Bury New Rd/A56. Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Valley Park Rd. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Sedgley Ave.  The Curve is on your left as you enter the hospital site. There is plenty of parking outside The Curve.

By Bus:
There are regular buses coming to the hospital site. These include 90, 91, 92, 93, 95, 97, 98 and X41

By Tram:
Take the Bury tram from Piccadilly Gardens and get off at Prestwich. Then it is a 10 min walk to the hospital site.
