Next Steps Bolton Community Fund is now open for applications!

Community groups and projects that support recovery from addiction can apply for grants of up to £6000, and up to £2000 for new and emerging groups

The proposed project should address at least one of the three objectives of the fund:

 

  • To develop community support around people's recovery from addiction, and those affected by somebody else’s addiction (family and carers)
  • To promote mental wellbeing in recovery from addiction, or supporting recovery from addiction  
  • Supports the development of new ‘recovery from addiction’ initiatives not already available in Bolton

 

Feedback received through Next Steps Bolton events, along with other service user / recovery community feedback has informed the additional objectives set below.

To deliver one or more of the following to service users and recovery community in Bolton;

 

  • Project that will support recovery from drug and alcohol within communities who are experiencing health inequalities
  • Project that involves new and emerging community groups
  • Project that delivers ‘Sober Socials’ / substance free fun activities  
  • Projects within ethnically diverse ‘Global Majority’ communities experiencing health inequalities related to drugs and/or alcohol

  • Review/Shortlisting — w/c 21 July 2025
  • Additional information if requested — 25 July 2025
  • Bolton Next Steps Community Fund Award Panel — 30 July 2025
  • Project Funding awards notification — w/c  04 Aug 2025
  • Finance Agreement — w/c 11 Aug  2025

 

Project commencement beginning of September 2025, completion by end of February 2026 (variation by agreement)
