Congratulations to three of our apprentices at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), who have been awarded Apprentice of the Year at the Trafford and Stockport College Group annual awards last month.

The awards ceremony shines a spotlight on the region’s emerging talent and employer partners, celebrating both individuals and organisations for their commitment to professional development.

Eugene O'Regan, PSI team leader, who is on the GMMH ILM L3 apprenticeship, was awarded Business and Professional Apprentice of the Year, while being commended for his strong leadership.

Rachel Hale, Quality and Compliance Lead with Salford, Trafford and Talking Therapies, was named Higher Education Apprentice of the Year.

And Katie Webster, Team Administrator in Wigan, has been awarded Apprentice of the Year following the successful completion of her Customer Service Practitioner Level 2.

John Walker, Assoicate Director of Operations, stated:

"I've worked with Rachel on a strategic project around partnerships, this is an important piece of work at a significant level within an NHS organisation. Rachel has managed all tasks effectively, she is responsive, and I particularly like that she checks and challenges queries and questions from myself. Her work is to an excellent standard, and she can work with, and often does, an autonomy that is be fitting of the role. Frequently checking back to ensure that we are delivering what we expect to."

Jackie Latham, Interim Head of Operations in Wigan, stated:

"All of us here at Wigan are so proud of Katie! We all agree Katie is truly wonderful; everyone who has the pleasure to work with Katie knows she completes her work to an exceptionally high standard. Katie is hard-working, committed, helpful and very capable. And she performs all her duties with a big smile on her face! Katie exemplifies the GMMH Trust values of working together, being respectful and honest, showing compassion and being open to learning.  We are so lucky to have Katie in our team and wish her every success for the future. Well done, Katie!"
