Borderline Personality Disorder – a reflective conversation between Professor Peter Fonagy and Marsha McAdam

You are invited to join a reflective conversation hosted by the Mental Health Network between Marsha McAdam, lived experience consultant, and Professor Peter Fonagy OBE, Chief Executive of the Anna Freud National Centre. This session will focus on the needs of people with a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (Borderline PD) or complex emotional needs.

The conversation will focus on personal experience to help bring to life how these conditions, and the public and professional perception surrounding them, can impede an individual’s ability to manage their life and their relationships.

Peter and Marsha will use their personal knowledge, both as service users and as advocates, to clarify issues and confront stereotyping and prejudice, while highlighting the potential for effective treatments to have life-transforming effects.

The session will take place on 30 June from 11:30-12:30.

Please feel free to pass this invitation on to someone in your team who would appreciate the development opportunity.

You can secure your place by emailing emma.doyle@nhsconfed.org.
