Joining Using a Smartphone or Tablet
Please follow the below instructions when accessing your video appointment using a smart phone or tablet. Additionally, there is a video included below to demonstrate this.
Search for the Microsoft Teams app in the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, search in the Play Store on an Android phone or tablet. Alternatively, you can use the following link - Download Microsoft Teams Mobile Apps
Tap on ‘Get’ or ‘Install’ or on the cloud symbol to download Microsoft Teams to your phone or tablet.
Then close the app on your device. You do not need to create an account or log in. Please ensure you are signed out of all personal or work accounts before joining your appointment.
Open your email and then the message from your service, you can try searching ‘confirmed’ or ‘reminder’. Be sure to check any junk/spam folders if the email is not in your inbox. If your email address is Microsoft based (Outlook, Live, Hotmail etc.) there is an increased likely hood they would be in the junk mail. Ideally please mark as ‘not junk’ so the problem doesn’t persist.
When it is time for your appointment please tap the ‘Join your appointment’ in Teams meeting button within the email. You will only be able to join via this link.
Add your initials of first name when prompted. Please don’t add your full name or email address. Then click ‘Join meeting’.
Please allow access to microphone or camera when prompted.
You will be let into the meeting once the clinician starts it.
Ensure your video and sound are turned on, there should be no line through them. If there are any issues, please check the troubleshooting and FAQ page for more details on how to resolve this.
You can access the chat at any point to type a text message by selecting the button outlined below at the top of the call screen.
Once your meeting has finished you can leave by tapping the red phone icon at the bottom of the screen.
