Co-Facilitator of Training
Calling all Young People in Recovery
We are looking for two young people in recovery from mental health problems to help us design and deliver courses for other young people who are currently inpatients within our child and adolescent mental health services. These courses will be part of the PSHE & Citizenship Curriculum focusing on developing and sustaining emotional health and well-being.
You will be paid for your time and we will cover any travel expenses. The rate of pay is £10 per hour.
We are looking for expressions of interest from service users of young people’s mental health services. We will also accept expressions of interest from young people who are now ex-service users who have been discharged within the last 6 months.
The role will involve working closely with staff to develop the courses using your lived experience to advise what should be taught and how. It will also involve co-facilitating the courses with staff for young people.
The time commitment is approximate at this stage but is likely to involve four planning meetings between July and September 2016, followed by short weekly sessions to deliver the courses sometime between September and December 2016. After which we will evaluate the project and review how to proceed in the future.
To apply, please get in contact with us to let us know why you would like to take part (expression of interest). The closing date for expressions of interest is Thursday 30th June 2016.
