The Patterdale Suite is based at our Adult Forensic Service, and it is where many of our workshops are. This is run by our Occupational Therapist Team.

We all know the benefit physical activity can have on our mood and mental wellbeing. Our services have fully trained staff to support our patients in our Gyms and sports areas.

We have also developed a green health walk on our Prestwich site.

We have workshops where service users can learn how to make things. These are skills that can be taken with them on their recovery journey.

Education can be important to our service users. We have staff that can support our service users to reach their goals, and this can be anything from improving their reading skills, to budget management.

Recovery Academy

The Trust have their own Recovery Academy. This provides bespoke courses to service users, family and friends. The aim is to provide education and support for individuals recovery journey. A satellite Recovery Academy is situated at our Adult Forensic Services to provide local support.

Cookery classes are always a favourite, and here skills can be developed. Service Users can enjoy partaking in community cooked meals on the ward.

Cookery skills can be developed in preparation for discharge back into the community.

Gardening

As well as physical activity, gardening can also benefit the mind. We have staff who support service users to grow fruit and vegetables, as well as tender plants and flowers. These can be in specially designed polytunnels or in wards private courtyards and gardens.

Our Service Users have access to computers. Here they can maintain communication with family and friends.
