Mental Health for Substance Misuse Practitioners
The aim of this one day course is to increase knowledge of mental health for staff working in substance misuse services and to increase their confidence of working with this service user group. The overview includes:
- Common mental health conditions
- The relationship between substance misuse and mental health
- Potential interactions between mental health medications and medications used in the treatment of substance misuse
- Cross cutting issues
- Partnership working with mental health services
