Volunteer with LGBT Recovery Champions

Interested in accessing training and networks to build stronger support for LGBT people in recovery from drugs and alcohol in your local area?

Achieve, our substance misuse recovery services within Bolton, Salford and Trafford are working with the LGBT Foundation and are looking for Volunteer Recovery Champions.

As a Volunteer Recovery Champion, you fill facilitate one of the many participant groups that the substance misuse team provides. Full training and support will be provided, and this is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the development of new support, and gain experience and promote visible recovery. The initial groups will be in Trafford and Bolton, but open to all.

This opportunity is funded from the BST Achieve Recovery Fund, but is open for application from any interested party. Women, BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) people, trans people (including non-binary), and people of faith are currently under-represented among our volunteers so we strongly encourage applications from members of these groups. Please do share this opportunity with anyone who might be interested.
