VE Day 2025

Image commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day). VE Day marks the end of World War II in Europe on 8 May 1945.

Thursday 8 May 2025 will mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, celebrating the end of the Second World War in Europe.

VE Day is an opportunity to remember and celebrate the sacrifices made by all from the wartime generation.

Celebrations will take place across the country between Monday 5 May and Thursday 8 May, to recognise this significant anniversary. With a range of local events and activities happening in Greater Manchester.

Here at GMMH, we offer a range of services to our serving and veteran communities and take pride in being accredited as a Veteran Aware organisation.

As part of our accreditation, we recently refreshed our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, acknowledging that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, including the bereaved, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives.
