Sarah Leo selected for NIHR CRN Greater Manchester’s Evening of Excellence
We're delighted to announce that Sarah Leo, our Head of Research & Innovation at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, has been selected to feature in NIHR CRN Greater Manchester’s Evening of Excellence 2021.
This online ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday 18 November 2021. It has been organised to celebrate the staff behind the incredible health and care research that has taken place in Greater Manchester during the pandemic.
The awards will recognise the valuable achievements made in the delivery of COVID-19 and non-COVID research during the period March 2020 to August 2021. Nominations were open to individuals and teams in research delivery across Greater Manchester, East Cheshire and East Lancashire. Details about how to view the ceremony will be shared here.
Sarah Leo has been selected for the category: 'Exceptional Leadership in Delivery' for her exceptional skills, energy and range of leadership styles deployed in research delivery.
This award recognises an individual or a team who has shown strong leadership at any level. This may have been in frontline delivery, behind the scenes in coordination, as an investigator, in strategic management, or other relevant areas. They drove forward change when it was needed most and motivated staff to work together and achieve fantastic outcomes. They might have looked beyond their own organisation to lead collaboration across the Greater Manchester network for the good of local patients.
