Salford Older Adult Primary Care Psychological Therapies newsletter

Salford Older Adult Primary Care Psychological Therapies produce a newsletter to keep staff, GP practices and third sector and voluntary organisations up to date with their work. The purpose of the newsletter, which is distributed 2-3 times a year, is to promote and share information about the service. Salford Older Adult Primary Care Psychological Therapies provide one to one counselling and psychology, occupational therapy support for older adults experiencing difficulties related to later life.

If you are a healthcare professional and feel someone may benefit from the support Salford Older Adult Primary Care Psychological Therapies provide, please use their referral form. Following referral to the service, carers will be offered an assessment appointment with one of their team members. The service also run a ‘Coping Carers Group’ for carers of people living with dementia. If the service’s ‘Coping Carers Group’ is not suitable, the team offer one to one support for carers. They also signpost carers to the most appropriate services should their service not be the best fit for them.
