Recovery Pathways Arts for Good Health Summer 2026 programme now live

A wooden bug hotel filled with logs, sticks and hollow tubes arranged in sections, with wire mesh across the front. Above it is a small black sign with colourful letters reading “Bug Bungalow”. The structure is set against a wooden fence with green plants around it.

The Recovery Pathways service, part of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), is pleased to announce the launch of its Arts for Good Health Summer 2026 programme.

Arts for Good Health are a variety of free short wellbeing courses run across Manchester and designed for access to further parts of the community. They can be used as an introduction to our core service or as part of a move-on plan.

The summer programme will run from July to September 2026. There are eight courses on offer, including Make a Mosaic Clock, Good Mood Food, Make a Bug Hotel, and Painting and Drawing Tasters.

Courses run for four to eight weeks at various venues across the city, with group sizes ranging from six to twelve participants, depending on the location.

We welcome referrals from services, as well as self-referrals from people who meet the following criteria:

  • aged 18 or over
  • a Manchester resident (have a Manchester GP and/or paying council tax to Manchester City Council)

Please note that, due to high demand, places are limited to one course per person and are prioritised for new referrals.

Referrals can now be made online by completing the Recovery Pathways referral form.

If you need help completing a referral form, you can contact our Recovery Pathways team directly by email at Referrals.RecoveryPathways@gmmh.nhs.uk or by calling 0161 271 0279.
