To mark the NHS's 77th Birthday, colleagues from Trafford Talking Therapies, alongside Sale Central Primary Care Network, will be coming together to complete the Stretford Parkrun on Saturday 5 July 2025.

Saturday 28 June is Armed Forces Day, where we celebrate and support people from the Armed Forces community and thank them for their service. 

From 16 June 2025, community groups and projects that support recovery from addiction can apply for grants of up to £6,000 from the Achieve Bury Recovery Fund.

Friday 20 June is Red4Research day, where we show our support for research and all those working behind the scenes to make research happen. We know that mental health research is so important to how Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) improves and offers innovative treatments – will you help us by showing your support?

Carers Week (9 - 15 June) is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

In December 2023, Michael, a learning and development specialist from Trafford, faced an unexpected heart attack at the age of just 28.

We have agreed that our two organisations will work together even more closely in the coming months and years to improve care for our patients, the communities we serve and make the best use of public money. This follows a joint meeting between our two boards of directors.

National Volunteering Week is an opportunity for us to say thank you to all our volunteers for their hard work and support. Their dedication, compassion and support across the Trust has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on those who use our services, their families/carers and our staff.

Justin Walker, a dedicated Support, Time, and Recovery (STR) Worker for Mental Health Services in Wigan at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) has once again demonstrated his creative expertise with his latest short film, ‘The Quiet Space.’

The team successfully completed the National Three Peaks Challenge last week, a remarkable achievement in support of Mental Health Awareness Week 2025.
