Newly-recruited police officers in Salford will experience what it is like for someone to be detained under the mental health act, as part of a new training initiative.

The Curve, the Trust’s headquarters and a unique, conference, training and meeting venue, has won an award in the ‘Patient Experience’ category at the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) 2016 Awards.

The Early Intervention Service at Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating after becoming an award winner at the national Positive Practice Awards. The awards celebrate positive practice in mental health and are supported by NHS England.

The Recovery Academy, run by Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, has launched its new prospectus which aims to support people with their mental health and/or alcohol and drug problems by providing free training to help.

Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is joining forces with Manchester Mental Health and Social Care NHS Trust, and as a result the name of the organisation is changing.
