From 3 to 9 May, it is Deaf Awareness Week! In a series of videos, Katie and Ben from the John Denmark Unit share information on what being Deaf means and how you can be more understanding of Deaf culture.

People who get involved in research tend to have better health outcomes, as they become better at managing their own condition.  Joining the research community means you're actively helping to discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and manage illnesses.

As we all know, 2020 was a tough year for everyone and required a lot of adapting to ensure we continue to provide the best support for our service users and community. Recovery Pathways, a service that aims to enable and support recovery by offering a unique and creative range of opportunities for positive mental health and wellbeing, had managed to do just that.

Digital Buddies is a new ‘social connection’ and support project organised by Salford Foundation in Salford and Trafford as part of their COVID-19 response. We are linking people in these communities to trained young people to help with any digital and tech issues they may be having, as well as to have a chat and form a friendship in these isolating times.

buzz Manchester Health & Wellbeing Service’s Physical Activity Referral Service (PARS) are currently delivering over 30 online exercise classes a week through Microsoft Teams. In normal times all exercise classes are delivered out in the community, but since the start of the pandemic the team have quickly adapted to the challenging situation and moved all classes online.
