Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) was delighted to welcome the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, for the official re-opening of the Chapman Barker Unit (CBU), its specialist adult inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification service. 

We are pleased that the ‘Riverside Centre’ is the new name of our medium secure adult forensic mental health inpatient unit (formerly the Edenfield Centre). 

Two bespoke multi-faith cabinets have been introduced at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals (WHH) to strengthen the spiritual support available across both hospital sites.
