The Recovery Pathways service, part of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), is excited to announce the launch of its Arts for Good Health Spring 2026 programme.  

We are thrilled to announce that our Domestic & Porter Services and Sintijia Logina, Domestic Supervisor, have been shortlisted in three categories of the prestigious MyPorter Awards and MyCleaning Awards!

Our Trust’s Chair, Professor Tony Warne, visited Braeburn House on Tuesday 24 February 2026 to meet the team and see how the service is developing. 

The Mental Health Liaison Service (MHLS) are very proud of our colleagues Kelly and Hannah for their collaborative work alongside Ingrid and medical staff at the Northern Care Alliance (NCA), which has resulted in a significant piece of research on Restricted Intake Self-Harm (RISH).

Did you know we have a service to help university students with their mental health? At the end of January, our Chief Digital Information Officer, Alistair Reid-Pearson, visited The Greater Manchester (GM) Universities Student Mental Health Service to meet with staff and find out how they support Greater Manchester’s student population – one of the largest in England!

In honour of Children’s Mental Health Week 2026, we are sharing a range of support, and resources available to children, young people, and their families and carers; alongside photos and updates from activities taking place across our services!

Monday 9 February marks the start of National Apprenticeship Week 2026 (NAW). Now in its 19th year, NAW brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

As a result of significant disruption to the heating system which has caused serious leaks at Laureate House in Manchester, the Trust has taken the decision to escalate to a critical incident due to building disrepair. This allows us to be able to take additional steps to maintain safe services for our patients.

Following a very successful two years at GMMH Karen Howell OBE will be stepping down to retire in June 2026.

At GMMH, we have now gained Organisational Membership of the Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing (QICN). This is an exciting investment and development which aims to support the development of community staff with access to education, networking, and career opportunities. 

In partnership with NHS Greater Manchester, Pennine Care, Gaddum and other stakeholders, we’ve engaged with professionals, service users, and people with lived experience in proposals to re-name and re-brand Living Well services across Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) has announced a consultation on significant proposals to transform its rehabilitation services, designed to improve care for people with complex mental health needs and bring services closer to home.

On Monday 15 December 2025, our Chair, Professor Tony Warne, had the pleasure of visiting The Therapy Hub, based at the Victoria Park Centre, Longsight, Manchester.

We are proud to share that the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) has highlighted the work of two of our services as examples of national best practice in its latest update on the Culture of Care programme. 

Winter can be a challenging time for many of us. Shorter days and longer nights can affect our mood, whilst colder weather often brings more coughs, colds, and flu. Add to that the financial and social expectations of the festive season, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or run down.

Honeysuckle Lodge colleagues and patients in Bolton welcomed a visit from our Chair, Professor Tony Warne, last week (8 December 2025) to our inpatient unit for women based on the Royal Bolton Hospital site.
