Carers Rights Day is a national day that aims to help unpaid carers understand and use their rights. This year, Carers Rights Day falls on Thursday 20 November 2025, but there are free events happening across the whole week.

On Wednesday 10 September 2025, the  people of the  city of Salford came together in a deeply moving show of solidarity, remembrance, and hope for World Suicide Prevention Day.

This year marks the 22nd year of Baby Loss Awareness Week in the UK (9-15 October 2025) – an opportunity to raise awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss; the importance that bereavement support plays in the ongoing bereavement journey; and of the vital work that is needed to improve pregnancy outcomes and to save babies’ lives. 

The role of poetry and the creative arts as therapy for supporting wellbeing is being highlighted by a senior peer support worker to mark World Mental Health Day.
