It’s really important to us to hear the thoughts of our service users, their carers, family and friends as well as our staff and other stakeholders. We’re continuing to run workshops, so that you can get involved and feed into the new development. 

Today is Self-harm Awreness day, and for their monthly blog post, the Housing First Dual Diagnosis Team have written some information about self-harm and where you can find support.

Today, (Tuesday 1st March) Greater Manchester has launched a new campaign to improve mental wellbeing and raise awareness of self-harm in older people.

An Out of Hospital Care Model is being piloted as part of the wider Salford Dual Diagnosis Homeless Team (SDDHT) at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. SDDHT is a partnership team that has close working relationships with the Inclusion Health GP Service.

It is well known that sitting all day can have an unhealthy impact on the body and mind.

Thanks to the vigour and generosity of Sir Tom Moore, the R&I Team have been awarded a grant to train NHS staff & colleagues in simple Isometric exercises that can be done at work or home....

Katherine Berry is Professor of Clinical Psychology at The University of Manchester and Co-Director of GMMH’s Complex Trauma and Resilience Research Unit. Her research has focused on understanding the psychological and social causes of psychosis, and on the development and evaluation of more accessible psychological treatments for people with psychosis in community and inpatient settings.

The NHS England photography exhibition, “Care for the future: delivering the world’s first net zero health service,” first unveiled at COP26, has arrived in Greater Manchester. The exhibition is being displayed at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) Headquarters, The Curve in Prestwich from Monday 7^th February - Friday 11^th March 2022.

Small grants for community projects that support recovery from addiction.

For February's blog, the Housing First Dual Diagnosis Team are sharing what Time to Talk day is and why talking about mental heath is so important.

The Maternal Mental Health Pilot Service offers psychological therapy for women who are experiencing distress and trauma, directly related to their maternity/perinatal/neonatal experience and/or grief from perinatal loss.

The treatment being evaluated for roll out is featured in the ‘PATHWAY’ study, led by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and The University of Manchester (UoM), and is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

We’re asking CAMHS professionals and key referrers into CAMHS, including GPs, to take part in an online focus group to share their opinions on the current CAMHS referral pathway as part of an NIHR funded research project to Enhance the CAMHS Referrals process (EnCAMHS).
