April marks the start of Stress Awareness Month!

Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992 to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. Despite this running for so many years there is still a long way to go! According to the Mental health Foundation 74% of UK adults have felt so stressed at some point over the last year they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.

New care model in Salford hospitals to support service users at risk of homelessness

An Out of Hospital Care Model is being piloted as part of the wider Salford Dual Diagnosis Homeless Team (SDDHT) at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. SDDHT is a partnership team that has close working relationships with the Inclusion Health GP Service.

Katherine Berry is Professor of Clinical Psychology at The University of Manchester and Co-Director of GMMH’s Complex Trauma and Resilience Research Unit. Her research has focused on understanding the psychological and social causes of psychosis, and on the development and evaluation of more accessible psychological treatments for people with psychosis in community and inpatient settings.

COP26 greener healthcare photography exhibition on tour in Prestwich

The NHS England photography exhibition, “Care for the future: delivering the world’s first net zero health service,” first unveiled at COP26, has arrived in Greater Manchester. The exhibition is being displayed at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) Headquarters, The Curve in Prestwich from Monday 7th February - Friday 11th March 2022.
