Ambulance workers from the GMB and Unite Unions affecting North West Ambulance Service will be taking industrial action on Monday 6 February, with further strikes planned by staff from Unison union on Friday 10 February.

North View is the Trust’s new £105 million building replacing Park House on the North Manchester General Hospital site. Integrated Health Projects (IHP), The Trust’s Principal Supply Chain Partner for the build, is holding Open Days on the 14 and 15 of March 2023 at the North View development site.

A study led by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and the University of Manchester (UoM), and funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has found that a psychological therapy called Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) can reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress in heart disease patients when delivered in a self-help format. 

The Recovery Pathways service, part of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), supported over 16,000 people struggling with their mental health in 2022.

160 people were tested for Hep C over two months, with 11 people testing positive. All 11 have now either started or are waiting to start treatment.

New findings support the view that exercise helps reduce anxiety symptoms, with no evidence for individual differences in the benefits.
