May is Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Awareness Month in the UK. Our Clinical Leads for Complex Emotional and Relational Needs from across the Trust are holding a series of webinars throughout the month.

The mothers on Anderson Ward, a Mother and Baby Unit, recently took part in a project to make memory bears. The sessions were lead by Anna Creighton, Lead Wellbeing Artist at Studio One, part of our Recovery Pathways service.

A new in-person women’s only hearing voices group is being set up to provide a safe and supportive place for women to share their experiences of voices, visions and other unusual sensory experiences.

May 1 - May 7 is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. This week aims to get people talking about mental health before, during and after pregnancy.

Compassion focused therapy (CFT) is a relatively new trans diagnostic therapy. It is aimed at people who experience high levels of shame and self-criticism – attributes which are thought to underlie a wide range of mental health conditions.
