The Moorside unit, a service delivered by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust (GMMH), provides care for adults and older adults who require mental health in patient care and is located in Urmston, Trafford.  

This trust will soon be carrying out a survey to understand what you think about your care. This is a national survey and last year we heard the views of nearly 15,000 people. The results are crucial to improving the quality of care and people’s mental health care experiences.  

The Recovery Academy, run by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), is proudly launching their new spring / summer term prospectus on 2 April 2024, during Stress Awareness Month.

Wigan Borough Living Well, a new community mental health service which sees Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) join forces with Wigan Primary Care, Wigan and Leigh Community Charity, and Wigan Council, is set to roll out across the Wigan Borough following a successful pilot in Hindley.

A new Chief Executive has been appointed Chief Executive at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) to lead the organisation at this pivotal time.

On Thursday 15 February, sixty-six people including: digital experts, service users, mental health practitioners and researchers met at CityLabs to explore new avenues for extended reality (XR) in mental healthcare.

The Pathways from Homelessness Symposium will bring together the best practice, policy, clinical and intervention work with homeless people, not just from the UK but Internationally. 

Four of our services will be presenting at the conference, showcasing the service delivery and partnership approaches to meeting the needs of homeless people across Greater Manchester.

On the sixth annual Mental Health Nurses Day, Research & Innovation is celebrating the essential role that mental health nurses play – both in our Trust and in our department!  

Wednesday 21 February 2024 marks the sixth annual Mental Health Nurses’ Day.

Founded by mental health nurses from across the UK, the purpose of the day is to celebrate the work of mental health nurses, and to promote working in mental health as a fantastic career choice for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Measles is a very infectious disease - just a cough or sneeze can spread the virus to other people. It spreads easily and quickly among those who are not vaccinated, especially in nurseries and schools.
