National Safeguarding Adults Week 2020: 16-22 November

In Safeguarding Adults Week we aim to create a time where we can all focus on safeguarding adults. Each day will be focused on a different safeguarding adults at risk issue.

Safeguarding is a fundamental part of patient safety and a key focus for GMMH is to continue to ensure staff are aware of the role they play and the actions they need to take in helping to prevent abuse and neglect.

Key Themes GMMH will focus on for ‘National Safeguarding Adults Week 2020’ are:

  • Monday – Domestic Violence & Abuse (DVA)
  • Tuesday – Cuckooing
  • Wednesday – Financial Exploitation
  • Thursday – PREVENT
  • Friday – Understanding Legislation

Monday to Friday next week The Safeguarding Team will share a short article on social media, covering each of the key themes above for you to use and share throughout the week. Remember to use our hashtag #TogetherGMMH any time you talk about ‘National Safeguarding Adults Week 2020’ on social media.
