Robert is a Clinical Research Fellow in Mental Health Nursing, Director of the Mental Health Nursing Research Unit, and is an Honorary Teaching Fellow at the University of Manchester. His current research focuses on exploring applications of Method of Levels and Perceptual Control Theory to improve people’s experiences of accessing secondary care mental health services, and on finding alternatives to restrictive practices for children who self-harm in mental health inpatient settings.
