International Women's Day with Achieve

International Women's Day is a global day (this year, taking place on Monday 8th March 2021) celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

As part of International Women’s Day, Achieve Community Development are hosting an online conversation café on Wednesday 10th March 2021.

We are also inviting you to nominate a woman (famous or not) that you believe to be inspirational. A woman that has confronted bias, sought to smash stereotypes and 'Chooses To Challenge' in order to bring about change. This may be a woman from history, famous in the world today, from your family, within your community or anywhere else.

Please email your nomination along with the reason why you are nominating them and / or a quote from or about them to ross.darbyshire@gmmh.nhs.uk

Contributions may be used on Achieve and GMMH social media pages.
