Our Capital, Estates & Facilities Team has recently been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Estates & Facilities Team of the Year’ award at the 2025 annual Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) awards.

This award is given to a team working in the healthcare sector who can demonstrate outstanding achievement, performance and delivery of estates and facilities services across the year.

This nomination is accompanied by a further shortlisting for North View in the ‘Sustainable Achievement’ category.

Marc Reed, Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities, said:

“It’s fantastic that our Capital, Estates & Facilities teams have been shortlisted for the Team of the Year award, which recognises the collective efforts and achievements of the teams over the last 12 months, as we’ve continued to engage, evolve and innovate to make sustainable improvements across the various services we deliver.

It’s also great that North View continues to be recognised as it’s shortlisted for its sustainable achievements, demonstrating its commitment to reducing carbon and supporting a net-zero NHS.”

This latest North View recognition adds to an already remarkable run of awards and nominations for North View, which has become a benchmark for excellence in healthcare design and delivery.

Constructed by Integrated Health Projects (IHP)- a joint venture between VINCI Building and Sir Robert McAlpine - under the NHS ProCure framework, the £105.9 million development was overseen by DAY Project Management (DAY PM) and forms a key part of the New Hospitals Programme Masterplan for the North Manchester General Hospital site.

With 150 beds and a design focused on sustainability, service user engagement and specialist care, North View continues to set the standard for modern healthcare environments.

This latest shortlisting adds to an already impressive list of accolades for North View. The project was crowned both Sub-regional Project of the Year and North West Building Project of the Year at the North West Regional Construction Awards (NWRCA).

North View has also been shortlisted for a Considerate Constructors National Site Award and for Project of the Year at the national Building Awards. Earlier this year, it was a finalist in the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Building of the Year award.

In the healthcare design space, the project has earned significant recognition. It won Outside Spaces of the Year at the Design in Mental Health Awards and was highly commended in the New Build – Project of the Year category. It also took home Best Specialist and Dementia Care Design at the Healthcare Design Awards 2025.

In May, North View won Project of the Year at the annual HEFMA Awards, adding to its 2022 accolade for Service User Engagement for Building Design from the Design in Mental Health Network Awards. It was also shortlisted for the Project Team of the Year award by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), which celebrates collaboration and shared achievement.

In May 2025, CEF were also finalists in the team of the year category at the annual HEFMA awards.
