GMMH wins a HPMA North West Excellence Award 2018

Representatives from the Apprenticeship Team and the HR department attended the awards ceremony on Thursday 22 November? in Runcorn, Cheshire.??

GMMH's submission, titled Putting Apprenticeships at the Heart of a Talent Management Strategy, highlights the work of the Apprenticeship Team and Workforce Development in facilitating apprenticeships accross the Trust, for new staff and existing staff who would like to progress or take a new direction in their career. 

Juliette Tait, Head of Organisational Development, said; "I nominated the Trust because the way we have used apprenticeships to introduce new talent to our workforce, and create a way for staff to further their professional development, is unique and sets us apart from other NHS organisations."

"As the climate for recruiting NHS is increasingly unsteady, apprenticeships are a way to invest in new and existing staff, and show our commitment to supporting our workforce to progress and achieve."

Cathy Berry, Head of the Apprenticeship Team, said: "I am so proud of this award - it highlights the hard work the team do to ensure staff can reach their full potential, and shows the importance of apprenticeships as a way of starting or progressing a career in the NHS."
