A new video produced by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) showcases the welcome announcement that North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) has been included in the revitalised New Hospital Programme with an investment of £1.5billion.

The film highlights what this means for patients, staff and the local community with MFT Chief Executive, Mark Cubbon, describing the project as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to transform health care in North Manchester.

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust's (GMMH) North View Project Director, Marc Reed, said:

“We welcome this exciting news regarding the regeneration of the NMGH site and are continuing to work in partnership with MFT and partners to support the delivery of the wider North Manchester Strategy, with the completion of our North View inpatient hospital, a significant milestone in the future site transformation proposals.”

All project partners have pledged to maximising social impact through skills, training and employment opportunities, including improved education and training facilities on the NMGH site.
