GMMH reaffirms support for Armed Forces community during Armed Forces week

Saturday 28 June is Armed Forces Day, where we celebrate and support people from the Armed Forces community and thank them for their service. 

This year, GMMH was successfully reaccredited as a Veteran Aware organisation which highlights our commitment to improving care for the Armed Forces community. A working group has been formed which will identify Armed Forces Champions in each area covered by GMMH and will scope and improve the offer to the Armed Forces community.

Having Armed Forces Champions in each area will allow a presence in each team who can bring updates to team meetings and share valuable information about the available resources and services. GMMH are committed to supporting the Armed Forces Covenant and want to ensure that those who have served in the Armed Forces face no disadvantage compared to other members of the public. 

On behalf of GMMH, I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our Armed Forces community and staff for supporting this important agenda and I look forward to driving the agenda forward with your support.
