Contract Signed for New System to Improve Processes in Mental Health
Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMW) is delighted to announce the award of a contract to Civica Ltd for the delivery of its new Clinical Information System. Civica’s Paris was selected in December 2012 at the end of an extensive procurement process during which the Paris system was assessed to be the most suitable and economically advantageous solution.
The Trust has appointed an implementation team to facilitate the transition from the current system ICIS to the Paris system; this team includes experienced clinicians and administrators. The implementation team will be supported by a dedicated project team working in partnership with Civica to achieve a ‘go-live’ in early 2015.
This exciting development will enhance clinical working by improving access to relevant patient information and is expected to improve the way information is captured and accessed with improved security functions. The system will also provide a robust platform from which to interface with other systems both internally and externally to the Trust which will assist continual development and improvement.
Ismail Hafeji, Director of Finance and IM&T at GMW said:
“The system has many benefits including a more extensive and flexible management of information. These benefits will help streamline processes in mental health, improving the effectiveness and quality of care across the trust.”
The new contract will be signed today (3rd December 2013).
