Artwork created by service users on Andersen Ward, our Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) based at Laureate House, has won an art competition hosted by the Royal College of Psychiatrists' Perinatal Quality Network (PQN).
Art therapist, Rebecca Brejwo, collaborated with the service users to create a stunning masterpiece, painted in the MBU garden during the summer months. PQN’s theme this year was ‘Growth’, and they asked mothers to reflect on their perinatal journey, the person they have become, or consider what they have learnt through motherhood.
On Monday 17 November 2025, some of our Specialist Perinatal Service staff travelled to London for the annual PQN Study Day, where attendees voted for artwork submitted by MBUs across England.
We are thrilled to share that this winning artwork will feature on the front cover of the next PQN Journal!
