Governor Elections 2023

Voting to GMMH’s Governor Elections is now open!

From Tuesday 7 March 2023, voting begins in the Governor elections for the following constituencies:

  • Service User / Carer
  • Public Manchester
  • Public Other England and Wales

Following the close of nominations on 22 February 2023, the Statement of Persons Nominated has been published on our dedicated elections website: Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust Governor Nomination Portal | UK Engage (uk-engage.org)

If you are a member in one of these constituencies, you will receive a ballot pack containing information on the candidates standing for election in your constituency and how you can vote for them. This is your opportunity to select the candidate you feel will best represent you and your community.

You will be able to vote for:

  • Service User / Carer constituency – 4 candidates for 2 seats
  • Public – Manchester constituency – 3 candidates for 1 seat
  • Public – Trafford constituency – 3 candidates for 2 seats

There were 3 constituencies elected unopposed:

  • Public – Bolton constituency – Les Allen
  • Public – Rest of England and Wales constituency – Sharon Mason
  • Public – Salford constituency – John Boocock and James Greer

Voting will be either electronically through email notification or by post depending on your communication preference.
