We also see service users in other health centres and GP surgeries throughout the borough. Clinicians working in the service include mental health practitioners, cognitive behavioural therapists and clinical psychologists, working in a ‘stepped care’ pathway, so that patients are directed to the professional best placed to meet their needs. All staff work closely with related health and social care colleagues, aiming to provide seamless services. These include providing services to those with less complex common mental health disorders, as well as colleagues working in secondary care mental health services, whose role is to meet the needs of those with serious and enduring mental illness.
