Node-Link Mapping
Node Link Mapping (NLM) is an evidence based approach that is recommended across Substance Misuse services and can be applied in most health and social care settings. NLM is a process that workers can use to help service users represent and resolve personal issues, for example, decision-making; goal-planning; identifying positive support networks and increasing personal effectiveness. This two-day training course is an introduction to the theory and practice of Node Link Mapping and offers an opportunity to practice using some of the commonly used Maps.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to
- describe the background to, and the practice of, Node Link Mapping
- recognise Node Link Mapping relationship to other psychosocial interventions
- apply a range of Maps used in Node Link Mapping
- identify opportunities for using Node Link Mapping in practic
Who is this course for?
The course is suitable for anybody working in a health and social care setting with clients. It has proved particularly popular with beginner therapists, counsellors, key workers and case managers.
