Badge of Excellence for Specialist Service Network Training
The SSN Occupational Development and Training Team are pleased that ‘Open Awards’ have awarded our, ‘Responding to Drug Use in the Night Time Economy’, with ‘Badge of Excellence’ status. The Badge of Excellence is regarded as a quality assurance mark that recognises excellent training.
The course aims to provide people who manage and work in bars, nightclubs and festivals with the skills and knowledge required to effectively respond to drug related issues often faced in the Night Time Economy (NTE). Developed in partnership with the Loop, participants report it is helping to keep both customers and themselves safe. A recent participant stated:
“The course has been very useful to all of us. I personally feel much more confident in being able to recognise the problems faced by drug users, knowing ways of supporting them and keeping myself and staff safe.”
