More about the role
Our 24/7 liaison services provide responsive mental health care in acute hospital and A&E settings, to bridge the gap between mental and physical health. Our teams provide psychiatric assessment and treatment to those patients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems including; depression, anxiety, psychosis, dementia and delirium.
Adults with mental health problems are five times more likely to be admitted to a general hospital as an emergency, so a liaison mental health service is an essential component of any high-performing general hospital ensuring a person’s mental health needs are addressed when they are in hospital for their physical health needs.
Why choose us?
We understand the importance of a good work-life balance, positive wellbeing and community spirit. We can offer flexibility, day-to-day diversity and development opportunities to enthusiastic and committed people. There’s nowhere Greater than Manchester.
We can promise you a fulfilling role, which is varied, challenging and an integral part of the health service.
Here’s what our liaison mental health staff say:
“I like working with colleagues from varied backgrounds.”
“I love the fact that every day is different. You rarely know how the day is going to pan out.”
“I work in a very supportive team”
