How to become a Member

Join an influential group of people interested in the development of mental health and alcohol and drugs services by signing up to become a member of our Trust.

As part of your membership you will receive information about the Trust, be asked if you would like to take part in elections, surveys and consultations or even attend events like our Annual Members Meeting.

Membership is free and the level of involvement as a member of our Trust is your choice.

Public, service user and carer members of the Trust will, like our staff, be able to use NHS discounts and get offers and discounts from thousands of retailers

As a member you can:

  • Have a say in how the Trust develops its services
  • Vote in elections to the Council of Governors
  • Stand for election to the Council of Governors
  • Attend meetings and events

You decide on how much, or how little involvement you want. You may simply wish to be kept informed of developments and issues through our news updates, either way, your membership counts.

Anyone who lives in Bolton, Manchester, Salford, Trafford, or other England and Wales, and is over the age of 14 can join the Trust, or has used Trust services can become a member. Become a member online by completing a membership form here.

Or, you can join by calling us and we will be happy to take your details over the phone: 0161 358 1607 or email us membership@gmmh.nhs.uk.
