Fire Safety in the Home
This interactive course is co-produced and delivered with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) and will help you reduce the risk of fire in your home. Fires can be devastating but the good news is that most can be prevented.
Through this one day course you will develop a good understanding of the main causes of fire in your home and how small changes to the way you live can have a big impact on reducing your fire risk.
The delivery of the course will utilise a wide range of visual and practical based tasks andactivities to suite everyone’s learning style. By delivering the course at GMFRS’ Safety Centre in Bury you will experience an immersive and interactive learning environment to bring your learning to life, with lunch provided.
All attendees will receive a special GMFRS attendance certificate.
By the end of this course, you will learn about:
- Risk reduction
- Smoke detection
- Safe bedtime routines
- Escape planning so that you and your family can be safe and well at home
